Feb 4/ 08

The Expected: Iverson and Anthony both getting 25+ points.
The Surprising: Josh Smith's 9 blocks! I know that man has hops and can swat the ball, but nine times! He was really only a couple digits away from a quadruple double!  I can't stop using exclamation marks!!!!
The Disappointing:  Chris Paul.  In a battle of point guards, facing Utah's D Will, Paul went 3-11 shooting for only 6 points and a nasty 5 turnovers.

Here's the skid.

76ers
Miller had an impressive 29 points to go along with two 6's (boards, dimes)
Dalembert pulled down a nice 13 boards and added 5 blocked shots.

Hawks
Childress lead the way, although he came off the bench, with 21 points.
Josh Smith's line needs to get another mention. 19 points, 6 boards, 9 assists....9 blocks!
There were a total 21 blocked shots in this game, 14 coming from the Hawks.  In a 5 point game, Hawks defense gets the W.

Mavs
Starters not named Nowitzki or Howard were unimpressive.
Terry and Bass both came in strong off the bench, going for 20 and 16.
Howard led the way with 28

Magic
Turkoglu came away with a triple-double.  His line reads, 13 points, 13 dimes and 12 boards.  Very nice.
Howard led the way with 28 (deja vu)

Clippers
8 players finished with double digits in points.  Once again, all other numbers seemed to be evenly passed around in a team effort W over the Knicks.  Maggette led the way with 19 points.

Knicks
All Knick starters finished in double digits.  The telling stat on this night is the 20 turnovers, that is the ball breaker for them.  Curry finishes with a team high 19

Raptors
Calderon gets a fancy little double double (11 points, 10 dishes)
Bosh led the team with 24 points
Bargnani had an impressive 22 points.
12 players saw the floor tonight, all of them getting at least 6 min of playing time as the Raps beat the lowly Heat 114-82

Heat
The Heat saw more production out of their 4 bench players than it did from the starting line, getting 45 of the teams 82 total points.
The best for them on this night was Wright with 17 points at 8 boards.

Rockets
McGrady had a good line of 26, 6 boards and 7 dimes.  Too bad 7 turnovers are also glaring at me.
Yao got 16 points as the Rockets got the expected W over the Wolves.

Timberwolves
Jefferson has yet another impressive night with 33 points, 16 boards and 3 blocked shots.  Well done young man.
Telfair dished out a sweet 12 assists.

Hornets
Pargo came on strong off the bench going for 24 points and leading the way for his team.
Chandler and Paul both had off nights as far as points were concerned getting only 8 and 6.

Jazz
D Will goes off for 29 points and 11 assists.  Getting the best of Paul in this battle.
Boozer got 19 points and almost as many rebounds with a whopping 17.
The Jazz were also an impressive 14 for 22 from 2 point range, shooting a very good 63%

Bobcats
They scored big, but not big enough (which is an ongoing theme when you play the Suns)
Richardson got 25.  Okafor went for 18 with 13 boards.  Mohammed got 12 and pulled down 11 from the glass.

Suns
Nash orders up the usual, 11 dimes.
Amare drops 24 points while picking up 11 boards and 4 swats.
Barbosa comes off the bench and go's for 30, leading the way on this night.
The Suns finish off the night with 30 assists.

Nuggets
Iverson and Anthony were already mentioned.
Martin gets a double double with 13 points and 11 boards.
Klezia shoots down 15 off the bench.

Portland
Nice numbers all around, but came up just a bit too short in a 105-103 loss.
31 assists total.  9 from both Blake and Jack, and 8 from Roy, who also dropped the team high 26 points
Outlaw finished with 16 and 10 boards getting the double double.
Outlaw, Jack and Frye all came off the bench and got double digit point totals.

Bulls
6 players finished with double digits in points.  Smith grabbed the highest with 25, while Gordon dropped a cool 20.
It was the rebounding that grabbed the W for the Bulls, getting a 67-41 advantage

Sonics
Durant gets 20 points
Szczerbiak gets 21
The Sonics lose again.

These stats certianly don't lie.
Not unlike my hips.

You should come up with as many cliches and expressions as you can to describe players' stats.

Look at all these stats.
