Feb 7/08

Not too much going on last night.  Just 3 games on the schedule.
The Expected: Lebron - 32 points, 7 boards, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
The Surprising: Duhon scoring 34 and adding 9 assists.  Where did that come from, with season averages of 6 and 4?
The Disappointing: Ilgauskas scoring only 8 points.  This game against the Rockets should have been a close contest, instead they get blown out, only scoring 77.  When Big Z scores big, W's are usually not too far behind.

the odds and ends
Heat
Wade has an alright game with 19 points, 9 assists and 6 boards
The two down low, Wright and Blount both get 10 boards and scoring 16 and 15
Not too much else to talk about for the Heat as they suffer yet another night.  The Heat are so bad right now, Marcus Banks is going to look like an all-star in their line up.  I am also excited to see what Marion will do with a lot of added weight to his shoulders.

76ers
Offensively Iguodala and Miller took the lead with 25 and 21 points.
A surprising stat comes from Evans off the bench with 8 points and a large 14 glass grabbers.

Cavs
Lebron is his normal self.  Looks like the rest of the players just wanted to sit back and watch him as no one else got involved.  Maybe the Cavs ought to start charging their bench for court side tickets to Lebron.
Hughes is the only other player in double digits with 13 points.

Rockets
It was a battle of big slow men, and Yao got the best of Ilgauskas with 22 points, 12 boards and 4 helpers
5 players finish with 10+ points, surprisingly McGrady is not on that list.
Wells goes for 13 and 10 off the bench. Skip To My Lou scores 17 and adds 9 dimes

Bulls
Duhon's monster night already was mentioned
Smith gets a nice line of 27 points and 8 boards
Thomas got 15 off the bench
Noah recorded 10 boards in only 14 min

Warriors
The debut of Webber was nothing special.   Don't expect him to get any major numbers till about the post season, it will take him a while to fit into the offense.  But he will be a valuable asset if the Warriors can make the playoffs.
3 players finished with 20+ points and Jackson was only 1 point off that mark
Ellis gets high score for G State with 25
Biedrins had a very impressive 18 boards, 9 of those coming on the offensive end

short night, short entry
